About Charlaine Avery as a Counsellor

I am a registered clinical counsellor with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors.  I have fifteen years experience as a counsellor.  I completed my Master's Degree in Counselling at Simon Fraser University in 1994.  I have a private practice in Langley, B.C. where I work with individuals, couples and families of all ages.  The side bar on this page shows some of  the many life challenges with which I can help you .

I use a collaborative, experiential approach with client defined goals.  I have post-graduate training in counselling techniques such as:  Cognitive Behavioural, Solution Focused, Narrative, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Virginia Satir's Brief Therapy Model and meditation.
